This Lincoln County Schools monthly feature highlights Lincoln County graduates and talks about what they are doing in life now.

This edition’s spotlighted alumni is Jon Collins. Collins is a 1998 graduate of Lincoln County High School. He attended Highland Elementary School and was part of the first ever 8th grade class at Lincoln County Middle School.

After graduating from LCHS, Jon went to work for Owens Chevrolet, then went on to work several years at Tri-K Landfill here in Lincoln County. He is now working in marketing for FOXPRO Game Calls. He is also the host of the FOXPRO podcast, co-host of FOXPRO Hunting TV and FOXPRO Furtakers Ressurection.

The podcast has climbed the charts as high as Top 5 in the Wilderness category in the U.S. You can check out Jon’s podcast here: https://bit.ly/3SuL11o

Jon is married to Cristal Collins, who is a teacher at LCHS. He has two children, Morgan who is a junior at Morehead State, and Jonah who is junior at LCHS. Some of his favorite memories from high school revolve around being part of the track team and the basketball team at Lincoln County High School.

When asked about what teacher had the biggest impact on him, he said Mrs. Roberts and Ms. Booth. “I don’t think I would have ever passed Geometry without the help of Ms. Booth,” said Jon jokingly.

We are very proud of Jon, and all of his achievements in life. He has learned to make a career out of his favorite hobbies. It doesn’t get much better than that.
