Lincoln Co. Septic Care Workshop set for March 16

Bluegrass Greensource is hosting a Lincoln County Septic Care Workshop on Monday, March 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Hustonville.

The workshop, which will be held at the Hustonville Baptist Church Family Life Center at 9959 KY Hwy 78 (Main Street), is a free way to learn how your septic system works and how to properly maintain it to prevent expensive repairs.

Residents of Lincoln and Boyle counties who reside within the Clarks Run and Hanging Fork watersheds may be eligible for financial assistance for a septic pumpout, repair or installation. They must attend the workshop to be eligible.

There is also a workshop offered in Boyle County on Tuesday, March 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Inter-County Energy 2nd Floor Meeting Room, 1009 Hustonville Road, Danville.

Applications will be available for those who attend a workshop and live in the Clarks Run or Hanging Fork watershed to apply for a free septic tank pumpout or apply for an 80/20 cost share grant for septic system repairs/replacement.
