Snow Princess, Duchess, Countess applications open

Halloween has just passed us by but it is already time to think about the upcoming holiday, with the 2019 Christmas Parade just a month away.

This year’s parade, themed “Christmas on the Wilderness Trail,” is set for Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m., and a tradition of the annual event is the crowning of winter royalty, namely the Snow Princess, Snow Duchess and Snow Countess.

Applications for all royalty contests are now available and can be picked up at Morgan’s on Main or printed from lincolncountychamber.com.

The Snow Princess contest is open to girls ages 4-6, Snow Duchess is for girls ages 7-9 and Snow Countess is open to ages 10 through middle school. Contestants will need a male escort and a driver and car.

The entry fee is $20 and the deadline to enter is Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Contestants will be judged on personal appearance, interview and poise. Interviews will be held on Dec. 3 at Fort Logan Hospital. Snow Princess interviews begin at 6 p.m., Snow Duchess at 6:30 and Snow Countess at 7.
