Symonds recognized as Emerging Nurse Leader
STANFORD — Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital is proud to announce that Tanner Symonds, BSN, RN, is the 2019 recipient of the Emerging Nurse Leader Award.
The Kentucky Organization of Nurse Leaders (KONL) chooses one nurse a year from each district in the state for an Emerging Nurse Leader Award. Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital is in the Cumberland District which covers most counties from Boyle to the Virginia line.
Tanner works in the Emergency Department and is a house supervisor. He started working at the hospital as a co-op student in high school. He is currently working on his Master’s Degree and desires to do more in advancing nursing practice in Kentucky.
