STANFORD — Get those tractors ready to roll!

There could be some minor traffic delays along the backroads of Lincoln County this Saturday, Sept. 28, as the Lincoln County Relay for Life Committee hosts its 2019 Relay for Life Tractor Ride.

Last year, 92 tractors from the 1940’s to present day, along with five or six wagons of riders, journeyed 25 miles around the county while raising money for cancer research.

The 2018 Relay for Life Tractor Ride raised over $4,500 for the American Cancer Society and its research efforts.

This year’s 25-mile ride will leave from Veteran’s Park in Stanford at 10 a.m. and will take drivers and riders through the Ottenheim area. The tractor ride will break for lunch and festivities at the William Whitley House. The meal is being provided by the Lincoln County Cattlemen’s and Relay Teams.

The cost per person (tractor drivers and riders) is $10 and the meal is included. Children 10 and under ride free. Meal tickets for children are $5. Donations are accepted.

Registration for the tractor ride begins at 8 a.m. the day of the ride and closes at 9:45 a.m.
