STANFORD – Aviation Safety Resources, Inc., (ASR) an innovative company that designs, tests and produces emergency recovery systems for aircraft and Urban Air Mobility vehicles, announced the appointment of Mark McElhaney as Director of Sales.

With an aviation industry track record that spans 30 years, McElhaney will lead the company’s traditional and emerging markets worldwide, including ASR’s new Soteria line of parachute recovery systems for sport, ultralight and experimental aircraft.

“Soteria products are designed to safely bring down an entire aircraft and its occupants in the event of an in-air emergency,” said McElhaney. “Soteria systems are lower cost, lighter weight and take up less space than similar products on the market today. I am excited to join ASR’s world-class team of inventors, engineers and aviation entrepreneurs whose mission is to disrupt the market for existing aircraft parachute recovery systems and lead the development of safety solutions for the next generation of manned and unmanned flight.”
