Today is beginning to look a lot like spring, the grass is turning green, trees are blooming, the weather is warmer and of course the sun is shining. God is awesome!
If you are bored on Saturday, March 23 at 4 p.m., you are welcome to attend the South District Gospel Explosion in songs at First Baptist Church, Danville. Over 14 churches will be participating in this event. Rev. Darrick Briscoe is the host pastor and Rev. Tommy Calhoun is the district moderator. Mr. David Kimberland is the choir director.
The Baptist Unified Christian Leadership Conference (BUCLC) will be held at First Baptist Church, Lebanon on Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. Moderator Tommy Calhoun will be the host pastor.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. Jordan Melvin Stevenson. The funeral was held at Milward Funeral Home in Lexington on Saturday. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Birdie Mae Stevenson and brother of Mr. Ernest Stevenson and father of Mrs. Michelle Stevenson Williams. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends. He was a 1951 graduate of the former Lincoln High School. His parents were Mr. Jordan and Mrs. Fannie Stevenson.
Mr. Mark Gooch has been dismissed from the Fort Logan Hospital.
Let’s continue to pray for the sick and shut-ins including Mr. Curtis Lee Bright and Mr. James Lee Alcorn and so many others.
Mrs. Janette Napier, Mrs. Cynthia Stewart and Mr. Maurice Napier visited with Mrs. Lasonia Napier Turner in Clayton, N.C., due to Mrs. Turner undergoing surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Oneith (Sherry) Fitzgerald have returned home after going on a cruise on the Atlantic Ocean. They visited several islands and had a wonderful time.
It has been reported that 95-year-old Mr. Eugene Jones is doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jones continue to take good care of him.
Miss Tashina Moore of San Antonio, Texas is visiting with her grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Davis.
Ms. Christine McClellan and her daughter, Kayla McClellan of Atlanta, Ga., recently visited her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Ernest Lee Gooch.
Mr. Kenneth Patton has been dismissed from the hospital.
