Although the words “father-daughter dance” usually conjure up images of that tender moment at a wedding reception, it’s never too early for dads and daughters to get a little practice in.
The third annual Father-Daughter Dance, hosted by the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, offers just that chance. This year’s dance will take place on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stanford Elementary School.
“Dance Dance Dance Dance” reads the Facebook invitation for the event, which will be held in the Stanford Elementary gymnasium and cafeteria.
The cost is $20 per couple, with a fee of $5 for additional daughters.
Local photographer Barbara Bastin of Barbara Ann’s Photography will be on hand to capture photo memories for the father-daughter couples. The cost is $5 for a 5 x 7.
Flowers will also be available for sale.
DJ E-Z-E Tim Estes will provide the music for the evening of fun, food and more!
Tickets for the event may be purchased at Durham’s Grocery, Morgan’s on Main and Kentucky Soaps & Such, all located in Stanford. You may also call the Chamber office at 365-4118.
