The sugar cane has been stripped, cut and made into dark brown molasses. My grandsons’ aunt gave them a couple of jars of the delicious stuff. I made some molasses cookies that were so good and a cup of hot cocoa topped them off. A big thanks to those who still make the good homemade kind, there is a lot of work to it, the hard way.

Our thoughts go out to Timothy and Matthew Sneed in the death of two of their aunts in the past month.

Word was received that Dennis Farrell, a cousin of the Link family, passed away last week from Lou Gehrig disease.

A classmate of mine passed away last week in Cincinnati, Ohio. Faustine Mullins Wilson was raised in the Kings Mountain-Waynesburg area. Her family is being thought of at this time.

There are some dogs killing cattle in the Ottenheim area. Be aware and check your cattle often.

It’s hard to believe, but there are irises blooming around the area, it is strange but they look so pretty.

The time changed over the weekend, back one hour. It would be nice to just remain the same all the time, it gets confusing.

To the Gene Synder family, we are thinking of you at this time by his passing to our Lord.

To the Sharon Simpson and Jerry Genton families, our prayers are with you and yours at this time with the death of your brother.

Remember all the sick and shut-ins in prayer, especially David Reynolds and Gloria Saylor who are sick at this time.

Remember, God loves you!
