STANFORD — Main Street in downtown Stanford was one busy spot Friday evening through early Saturday morning, as thousands of runners made their way into town for the annual Bourbon Chase.
The enthusiasm and hospitality shown by the local community made Stanford the favorite stop for runners during the 200-mile journey across the Bluegrass State and they showed their appreciation by voting for Stanford to receive the “Most Spirited Community” award.
The Bourbon Chase has runners passing through historic bourbon distilleries, across majestic horse county and into the commonwealth’s many enchanting small towns – including Stanford.
Monies raised during The Bourbon Chase are donated to the American Cancer Society, the Kentucky Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children Network and Bluegrass Hospice Care.
