Heritage BPW wins awards at state conference

Four members of Heritage Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) attended the Kentucky Federation BPW State Conference in Bowling Green June 21-22 and they returned home with several state awards.
The four – Brenda Baker, Mimi Becker, Dawn Hastings and Rhonda Marshbanks – attended a KYBPW Foundation auction and some business sessions before taking in the awards banquet.
Heritage BPW, which is active in Lincoln, Garrard and Boyle Counties, was honored in several categories for small local organizations. Heritage’s awards were: Kentucky Foundation Award, Kentucky Professional Women’s Week Award, Issues Management/Legislation Award, Membership Award, and Public Relations Award. Baker, Heritage BPW president, won the President’s Excellence Award and Genesis Hair Design, owned by Hastings, won the Business Promoting Women Award.. Hastings, Becker and Marshbanks won the “Get Stepping Challenge” and received awards. The “Get Stepping Challenge” was instituted for the year by KFBPW President Diane Croney-Turner and was presented to the local BPW members that averaged the most steps for the year.
Heritage also won several certificates at the state function.
