Vacation Bible School will be held at Boneyville Baptist Church, July 11-13 from 6-8:30 p.m. Mrs. Cammie Coulter and Miss Destiny Routt are in charge. Elder Robert Coulter, Jr., is the pastor.

The funeral for Mrs. Pearly Embry was held last Thursday at Bethel AME Church. The burial was on Friday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Rev. Reginald Pullums delivered the message and Rev. Tony Gooch officiated.

Sympathy is extended to the Wilkinson family on the loss of Mr. Eric Wilkinson, son of Mr. Sherman Wilkinson and nephew of Mrs. Lillie Mae Miller. The funeral was held last Saturday.

Sympathy is also extended to the family of Ms. Wanda Penman, 61. She is the daughter of the late David and Josephine Penman. Visitation is tonight, Thursday, July 12 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford from 5-9 p.m. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13 at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Mr. John Routt has been dismissed from Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Tina Simpson is a patient at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Margaret Brown was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center on Friday but was later released.

Mrs. Margaret Penman is a patient at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Mitchell of Florence spent the weekend with Ms. Barthenia Brown. They also visited Mrs. Sandra Hill, Miss Trudy Gooch, Mrs. Margaret Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Gooch and families.

Mr. and Mrs. Willis Patton of Lexington visited Mrs. Wilma Gooch.

Mr. Thomas Ray Hocker of Lexington recently visited the Hocker families.

Thought for the week: Family isn’t always “blood.” It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs, the ones who accept you for who you are, the ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.
