Memorial High School Class of 1958 reunites for 60-year class reunion

- THE MEMBERS of the Memorial High School Class of 1958 returning for their 60-year reunion were: front row - Barbara Ruddy Reynolds, Francis Horn Coulter, teacher Agnes Mullins Bacon, Virginia Morrell Ollish and Mary Lou Taylor Duff; middle row - Robert Moore, Janet Dishon Kiper, Viola Horton Geddings, Geraldine Hughes Reese, Ray Caudill, Inez Jean Murphy Gifford and Phyllis Taylor Padgett; and back row - Bennie Jacobs, Clinton Sims and Wayne Greer.
The Memorial High School Class of 1958 gathered at their former high school for their 60-year reunion on Saturday, June 2.
There were 52 in the 1958 graduating class and only 26 still remain. Of those 26, 14 were on hand for the reunion along with one former teacher.
Those alumni in attendance were: Ray Caudill, Frances Horn Coulter, Mary Lou Taylor Duff, Viola Horton Geddings, Inez Jean Murphy Gifford, Wayne Greer, Bennie Jacobs, Janet Dishon Kiper, Robert Moore, Virginia Morrell Ollish, Phyllis Taylor Padgett, Geraldine Hughes Reese, Barbara Ruddy Reynolds and Clinton Sims.
The former teacher returning for the reunion was Agnes Mullins Bacon.
Health concerns and driving distance were factors in those unable to attend. Including spouses and guests, there were a total of 20 people present.
Everyone enjoyed their time together catching up on what had happened in the years after they left the halls of Memorial High.
