Charles Dawayne Denney, 51, of Crab Orchard, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his home.

Denney was the husband of Kelly Elizabeth (Hacker) Denney whom he married on June 21, 1992. He was born on September 23, 1967, in Stanford to the late William Charles Denney and Margaret (Kidd) Denney Bryant. Dawayne was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, drag racing and restoring cars. He loved and cherished his family and attended Watts Chapel Baptist Church. With his determination and motivation, Dawayne has been an inspiration to numerous people during his lifetime.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Kelly Denney; siblings, Alma Mason, Mary (Larry) Norton, Roxanna (Billy) Debord, Sandra Tyler, Tammy Martin, Mark (Connie) Denney, and Keith (Melanie) Denney; father and mother-in-law, James and Neville Hacker; brother and sister-in-laws, Wayne (Connie) Benge, Gail (Scott) Messer, Lisa Tipton, James, Jr. (Stephanie) Hacker, and Christian (Michael) Pavon; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dawayne was preceded in death by a brother, William Henry Bryant, Jr.

Funeral services were Saturday, September 7, 2019 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial was in the Piney Grove Cemetery in Brodhead.
