KINGS MOUNTAIN – A Lincoln County School bus was involved in a two-vehicle accident last week. 

According to Communications Director Brad Smith, School bus no. 181 was involved in an accident on Greenbriar Road in south Lincoln County. 

The accident occurred on April 26 during the afternoon dismissal route for the bus. 

“The bus was struck on the side by another vehicle,” Smith said. 

At the time of the collision, the bus contained four students, the bus driver and a bus monitor. 

“One student and the bus monitor were transported from the scene of the accident to Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital via ambulance for further examination,” Smith said. 

Both the student and the bus monitor were released that evening after being examined at the hospital, he said.
