Three people were arrested in connection to an alleged stabbing in the Lincoln and Pulaski counties area on Jan. 28.

According to deputies in Lincoln County, a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old Alyssa Burton lured a man to a home for the purpose of assaulting him.

At approximately 2:43 p.m. Jan. 28, Lincoln County Deputies responded to a possible stabbing at a residence on Tower Drive in the Eubank Area.

Upon arrival, a 17-year-old male juvenile and an 18-year-old female said a male subject had come uninvited into the residence. An altercation ensued between the 17-year-old and the male subject, Andrew Stringer, resulting in Stringer being stabbed.

After making contact with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, deputies determined that Stringer had gone to the ER at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center with a stab wound to the back.

During the initial interview with PCSO Deputies, Stringer, of Somerset, provided a false story into how he was stabbed. After PCSO Deputies learned of the possible home invasion, PCSO Deputies placed Stringer under arrest for falsely reporting an incident.

Continuing the investigation, Lincoln County Det. Sgt Mullins and Sgt. Dean conducted an interview with Stringer.

During the investigation and follow up interviews with the other two parties involved, police found there was an ongoing conflict between Stringer, the 17-year-old juvenile and his girlfriend, 18-year-old Alyssa Burton of Eubank.

The two utilized social media to invite Stringer over to the residence on Tower Drive. After Stringer arrived, the altercation ensued and the male juvenile stabbed Stringer in the back with a large kitchen knife.

After Stringer left the scene, Burton attempted to clean the knife and did not report the incident until approximately 2 hours later. It was later determined that it was not a home invasion.

Detective Sergeant Michael Mullins arrested Burton and the male juvenile.

  • The juvenile was charged with assault first degree and detained in the Adair County Youth Detention Center.
  • Burton was charged with conspiracy to commit assault first degree, tampering with physical evidence, and disorderly conduct.
  • Stringer was charged in Pulaski County with falsely reporting an incident, and was not charged with any additional offenses in Lincoln County.
