MCKINNEY – The occupant of a tractor trailer was killed following an accident Thursday morning, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

It was about 7 a.m. on Dec. 7 when Lincoln County Emergency Services were dispatched to the 5100 block of Ky. Hwy. 198 for a collision involving a tractor trailer, according to a LCSO press release.

When units arrived on scene they found a single vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer that had overturned.

The collision resulted in fatal injuries for a single occupant.

That occupant has not been identified at this time.

The roadway will remain closed for several hours as the collision is investigated.

Det. Sgt. Michael Mullins is overseeing the investigation.

LCSO was assisted on scene by Lincoln County EMS, Lincoln County Fire, Deputies Marty Elliot and Ron Luster, along with Kentucky State Police Vehicle Enforcement Trooper Hazelwood.
