Are you a teenager, or do you know one who may be interested in a career in health care? Ephraim McDowell Health is accepting applications for the summer Student Volunteer Program.
The program is open to teenagers (age 14 through their senior year in high school) and is particularly helpful to those interested in pursuing a career in health care, but also an opportunity for teenagers who are just looking to give back to the community through community service.
Participants in the Student Volunteer Program will also be required to participate in Experiential Learning Days. Experiential Learning Days are special times in which all student volunteers join together for presentations from various departments within the hospital that allows the volunteers to experience a hospital environment in new and exciting ways. Some of the scheduled presentations include the Emergency Department, Central Services, and Behavioral Health.
