VOA heads to D.C. to discuss drug abuse

Representatives from Volunteers of America were part of a delegation from Kentucky who recently went to Washington, D.C. to promote the organization and its works.
VOA met with U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers; Dr. Rahul Gupta, Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Dr. Rahul Gupta; and other members of Kentucky’s congressional delegation to provide an update on how VOA is working with state and city leaders to ensure communities across the Commonwealth have systems in place to support individuals overcoming substance use disorder.
Volunteers of America Mid-States has recovery services in London and surrounding areas in Kentucky.
The meetings highlighted the importance of working together in a bipartisan manner to combat one of the greatest challenges facing Kentuckians. With the support of elected officials at every level of government, VOA will continue to work to create lasting, positive change in Kentucky.
