Several Lincoln County Schools students volunteered at the recent Ragnar Bourbon Chase in downtown Stanford. Thanks to all of our staff members and students who were able to pitch in to help make the Stanford stop one to remember for the runners.
The 200-mile, two-day relay event follows portions of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, beginning at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont and finishing in Lexington. Runners stop in towns along the way where they are greeted by locals and treated to Kentucky hospitality. Named for a 9th century Viking, Ragnar stages overnight road and trail relay races to encourage others to set and achieve challenging goals through team effort.
