Donald (Donnie) Elmore, 79, of Indian Creek passed away Monday, July 25, 2022. Born June 27, 1943, he was the son of the late Dee Elmore and Eva Hamilton Elmore. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Nannette Elmore, and 3 brothers, Vernon, Dallas, and Dorsey Elmore. He was a retired lineman and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Donald was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed watching all sports but especially UK football and basketball. Donald was a kind and generous man helping others when he could and had given cars to several people in need. Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Sharon Lane Elmore; 2 sons: Donald Wayne (Anita) Elmore of Springfield and Phillip (Luann) Elmore of Middleburg; 1 daughter: Gwen (Mike) Suarez of Florida; 3 sisters: Elizabeth McCammon of Geneva, Faye Hale of Georgia, and Barbara (Larry) Briscoe of Lawrenceburg; 8 grandchildren: Eric Elmore, Brittany Elmore, Chris Carmicle, Chelsea Elmore, Brodie Elmore, Selena Suarez, Shaylene Suarez, Raynene Suarez; and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service is Friday, July 29, 2022, at 1 pm at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Bro. Darin Lane officiating. Visitation is 10:30 am until the time of the service. Burial is at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Phillip Elmore, Donald Wayne Elmore, Chris Carmicle, Aaron Cook, Brody Elmore, Eric Elmore, and Mike Suarez.
