Curtis Martin Smith, 84, of Crab Orchard, passed away Saturday, June 25th, at his daughters’ home. Curt was born in Lincoln County, on September 28, 1937, a son of the late Elizabeth (Watson) and Homer Smith. He had worked most of his life as a farmer and was a carpenter. Curt enjoyed being on his front porch watching and waving at people as they went by. In his spare time, he enjoyed building birdhouses. Anyone that truly knew Curt, knew he had such a big heart and would do anything for you. He became caretaker for his brother and did so for many years until “Brother’s” passing in 2018. Curt loved spending time with all of his family, and he will be greatly missed by so many.

Survivors Include his Son, Gary Smith & Wife, Anna; Son, Michael “George” Smith & Wife, Tina; Son, Tim Smith & Wife, Stacie; Daughter, Tammy & Husband, Roger Brock; Son, Eric Smith; Brother, Clay Smith & Wife, Pat; Sister, Dorothy & Husband, Lonnie Trent; Sister-In-Law, Mary “Cotton” Johns; 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Curt was preceded in death by a Daughter, Tina Smith Goff; a Brother, Clyde “Brother” Smith; two Sisters, Janelle Pass and Joyce Rogers; and two grandchildren, Michelle and Brandon Smith

A service to celebrate Curt’s life will be on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Zandall Hasty and Bro. Ralph Baker officiating. Friends may visit after 5pm at the church on Thursday.
