A volunteer firefighter, former special deputy, and custodian at a local elementary school has been arrested on charges of rape and the distribution of obscene matter to minors, according to Kentucky State Police (KSP).
Sean Ryan Reardon, 29, of Moreland, was arrested by KSP on Sat. March 12 during a Junction City Fire Department fundraiser and charged with third-degree rape and distribution of obscene matter to minors. He was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center at about 8 p.m. and a $10,000 bond was set.
Reardon was released from jail on Sunday at about 7 p.m., according to the Boyle County Detention Center website.
According to the Lincoln County School District Reardon has been employed as a custodian at Lincoln County Schools since Jan. 18.
