The Lincoln County Board of Education voted unanimously last week to accept the highest bid for the McKinney Elementary School property.
The bid of $152,500 was from Jeremiah Yocom and was one of five sealed bids received by the school district.
School board members opened the sealed bids at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 13.
The sale includes the McKinney Elementary School building as well as approximately 8.7 acres located at 3425 Ky. Hwy. 198 in McKinney.
The other four bids included: $77,501 from Terry Bullock; $86,000 from Anthony Bullock; $51,000 from Chad Elmore; and $102,000 from Arlen Lehman.
Board members went into closed session during the meeting last Thursday night and returned to open session to vote on the bid.
Ricky Lane made a motion to accept the highest bid from Yocom. The motion was seconded by Gloria Sneed.
The final step in the bid process is approval from the Kentucky Department of Education.
