Lincoln County Schools is pleased to announce Jeremy Hawkins as the new head archery coach. Hawkins will be joined on staff by newly named assistant archery coach Kourtney Taylor. The two will oversee high school and middle school programs.
Hawkins is an avid archer who has coached at the elementary level and volunteered with the middle and high school archers for the past four years.
“My dad and uncles got me into archery at a young age and I absolutely love it,” said Coach Hawkins. “I’ve passed that love for archery and the outdoors on to my daughter too and my plan is to instill a passion for shooting archery into our students. I want them to have fun and develop a passion for archery that will last a lifetime.”
Coach Hawkins currently lives in Lincoln County with his wife Christie and their daughter Madison who attends Lincoln County Middle School.
Assistant Coach Taylor is a teacher at LCHS and has experience helping with the Lincoln County archery program too.
Coach Taylor said, “I am very blessed to be coaching archery. It’s a passion I’ve had since I was four years old and something that my family and I share. I’m glad I get to share that with students.”
The two plan to get started immediately and will be sending information out to middle school and high school students early next week about the upcoming season.
