1950-2021

Charles Eddie “Skip” Elam, 71 of Crab Orchard passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of the late Linda Lou (Stevens) Elam who preceded him in death on May 7, 2018.

Eddie was born in Lincoln County on March 29, 1950 to the late, Pearl Mae (Kidwell) Elam and James Earl Elam, Sr. He worked most his life in the construction industry. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors Include his Four Children, Michelle & Husband, Donnie Coffey of Mt. Vernon, Charles Dwaine Elam & Wife, Desiree` of Harker Heights, TX, Andrew Scott Elam & Wife, Rita of Mt. Vernon, Randall Leon Elam & Wife, Regina of Crab Orchard; Four Sisters, Rosella Halcomb, Sara & Husband, William “Tiny” Lamb, Betty & Husband. Tony Todd, Lona & Husband, Keith Embree; Brother, Mike Elam & Wife Vera and Brother & Special Care Giver, Leon Elam; Seven Grandchildren, Angela, Tiffany, Jesse, Taylor, Tyler, Aaron & Tanner; Six Great Grandchildren

Eli, Owen, Maycee, Walker, Eyvind & Chesney.

In addition to his parents & Wife, Eddie was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Carl, Eugene & James Earl Elam, Jr.; Infant Sister, Barbara June Elam; and Nephews, Herman Dean Elam & Jake Sims.

Pallbearers Include: Ben & Lige Graves, Jesse Coffey, Dennis Brummett & Todd Brendel

Honorary Pallbearers Include: Leon Elam, Denton & Micha Owens, Gary Kidwell & Robbie Lay.

Funeral Services will be held 11am on Sunday, August 8th and visitation will be after 6 PM on Saturday, August 7th at McKnight Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
