STANFORD – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were involved in a pursuit on Ky. Hwy. 39 Saturday morning after a suspect fled from Lancaster Police Department’s custody.
According to K9 Sgt. Michael Mullins, Lancster PD was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle Saturday morning.
“At some point they made contact in Lancaster and there was a struggle that ensued, a fight between the officer and the suspect,” Mullins said. “The suspect fled from them.”
The suspect, unidentified as of Saturday morning, fled and traveled down Ky. Hwy. 39 to Gilbert’s Creek Road where he turned around in a driveway.
“He came back across Gilbert’s Creek to U.S. 27 where his vehicle collided with another vehicle,” Mullins said.
No injuries were reported.
