Naren James M.D., 59, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021, surrounded by his wife and daughter. Born on February 12, 1962 in Port Mourant, Guyana to the late Reuben Atchan James and Gauri Persaud James.
Dr. James practiced medicine for 24 years in Lincoln, Boyle, and Casey counties. He incorporated his Christian faith with every patient he saw and many people were impacted by his love for Christ. He was a member of the Danville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah James of Stanford, Kentucky, and daughter, Alicia Shanti James; five brothers, Charles James, Anand James, Deorup James, Premnath James, and Mohan James; six sisters, Leila Mangru, Indira Mackay, Rohinie Frohlich, Gayatri James, Savitri Bangaroo and Sattie Satnarine; twenty nieces and nephews; four grandnieces and one grandnephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Gauri James.
Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY on Friday, April 2, 2021, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life service at 5:00 p.m., officiated by Mayor Dalton Miller, City of Stanford.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 3 p.m. at the Danville Seventh-day Adventist Church in Danville, Kentucky, officiated by Pastor Frank Fournier.
In Lieu of flowers, Dr. James requested that all contributions be made to Danville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
