Belmont University
The following students achieved the dean’s list at Belmont University for the fall 2020 semester; Olivia Williams and Bailey Angel, both of Harrodsburg; and Caroline Bugg of Danville. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
Berry College
The following area students were named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at Berry College; Evey Kinkade and Hannah Brunner, both of Danville, and Bethany Jackson of Stanford. The dean’s list honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.
Berea College
The following area students were named to Berea College fall 2020 dean’s list: Christopher Amburgey of Paint Lick, Tamara Bartleson of Harrodsburg, Cameron Brown of Crab Orchard, Devyn Cooper of Lancaster, Magy Cunningham of Liberty, Nichole Mingey of Danville, Kevin Moreno Tapia of Danville, Dylan Satterly of Danville, Anais Sommers of Danville, Tanner Southerland of Danville, and Izabella Walker of Stanford.
A student is named to the dean’s list who achieves a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least four total credits, a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours.
Campbellsville University
Campbellsville University president’s list for the fall 2020 semester includes: Megan Earlywine of Salvisa; Keely Bowling, Nathaniel Breeding, Luke Caldwell, Daniel Coffman, Hunter Ellis, Tara Emerson, Cathryn Jones, Shannon Kramp, Samuel Lynch, Daniel Montgomery, Madelyn Mullins, and Madisyn Wilson, all of Danville; Tanner Clark and Joshua Lockard, both of Hustonville; Brittany Butner, Teddy-Thomas Ellis, Blaine Prewitt, and Mckenzie Rice, all of Lancaster.

Local students graduate from UK
The University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences recognized more than 300 candidates for degrees at the December 2020 virtual commencement ceremony Dec. 4. Among the candidates are:
Peyton Calhoun of Danville, who is a candidate for a bachelor of arts in psychology.
Pastors earn PhDs
Local pastors Brent Rowe and Choe Sergent are among the first students to earn their Ph.D degrees from Campbellsville University.
Rev. Brent Rowe has served at Calvary Baptist Church for 13 years with nine years senior pastor. He also holds degrees from Georgetown College and The Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville.
Rev. Brandon Choe Sergent has been pastor of Junction City First Baptist Church for the past seven years. This is his second tenure there, having served as associate pastor previously. He holds two master’s degrees from Campbellsville University and is an associate vice president at CU.
