Lawsuit filed concerning gas pipeline explosion from a year ago

A lawsuit against companies involved in the Aug. 1, 2019 gas pipeline explosion in Lincoln County was filed today in Lincoln Circuit Court on behalf of 87 plaintiffs who were allegedly affected by the accident.

According to the complaint filed by Danville attorneys Ephriam Helton, Stacy Coontz, Brendan Shevlin and Ramona Little, the lawsuit is asking for a jury trial to determine compensatory damages for medical and future medical expenses, for physical, mental and emotional pain and suffering, lost earnings and future loss of earnings and loss of enjoyment of life, as well as compensatory damages for property damage.
