Geneva Willis Faw, 86, of Waynesburg, Ky, died on June 27, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. Geneva was born on February 21, 1934 in Mars Hill, North Carolina, to the late Claude Willis and Cordia Davis Willis. She and her husband, Wiley Faw Sr. devoted their lives in service to their Lord, Jesus Christ, and spent 32 years in Nigeria as Southern Baptist Missionaries. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, served in leadership positions in the Women’s Missionary Union and continued to minister to those around her even as her health declined. Geneva is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Faw Cassel (Steve) and Mira Faw Reeves (Tim), and daughter-in-law, Vicki Faw Harding (RJ), seven grandchildren, Wiley B. Faw, III (Missy), Rebecca Scalf (Dan), Micah Cassel (Trisha), Davis Reeves (Tosha), Katelyn Reeves, Stephanie Cassel and Cameron Reeves (Sara). She has eleven great-grandchildren, Shepherd, September, Jos, Landrie, Kensi, Caleb, Skylar, Vincent, Simone, Chloe, and Claire. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Wiley B. Faw Sr., and two sons, Wiley B. “Buddy” Faw, Jr. and Jacob C. Faw. A private service will be held with public services to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the International Missions Board at 3806 Monument Ave in Richmond, VA 23230-0767. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
