STANFORD — Former Lincoln County School High School assistant volleyball coach Misty Griffin was indicted by the grand jury Friday in Lincoln County.
Griffin was charged with theft by unlawful taking by taking property (money) belonging to Lincoln County Schools of a value greater than $500.
Griffin was relieved of her duties as an employee of the school system in November of 2019 after an audit of the volleyball team account revealed missing funds. The evidence from that audit was turned over to the Stanford Police Department who did their own investigation.
Upon the completion of the investigation, SPD presented the case to the grand jury.
Griffin is scheduled for arraignment on February 28 in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
