Lula Belle Sowders Miracle, 94, of Stanford, KY passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Stanford Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 19, 1925 in Lincoln County, Kentucky to the late William and Lillie Mae Sowders, she was the wife of the late Loyd “Strutt” Miracle. She loved to quilt and worked in the nursery for several years at Fairview Baptist Church where she was also a member.
Survivors include four children, Forrest Dwayne Miracle; Max Miracle (Gayle), Linda Rankin (Bruce), and Marlene Cocanougher all of Stanford, KY; six grandchildren, Shawn Miracle, Paige Isenberg (Bryan), Heather Petrey (Brad), Ange Miracle, Sara Southerland (Jeff), and Bridget Lynn (C.J.); nine great-grandchildren, Tyler “Brett” Miracle, Makenzie and Dylan Isenberg, Kelby and Jason Petrey, Carsyn and Olivia Southerland, and Kasen and Bodie Lynn; a very special niece, Rona Hale; her caretakers, Dolly, Linda, and Joyce; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Myrtle Gilpin, Rachel Baugh, Beulah Scheifers, and Millard Sowders.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Fairview Baptist Church from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, December 6, 2019 at the church with Reverends Gary King and David Conrades officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
Casket bearers are: Shawn Miracle, Bryan Isenberg, Brad Petrey, Jeff Southerland, C.J. Lynn, Jason Petrey, and Dylan Isenberg. Honorary bearers will be: Paige Isenberg, Heather Petrey, Ange Miracle, Sara Southerland, and Bridget Lynn.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to Gideon International and/or Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund.
