Eagles go 2-4 in SRC play

The Lincoln County Middle School boys basketball teams hit a few bumps along the road in early Salt River Conference play, going 2-4 in games with West Jessamine Middle School and Danville Bate Middle School.
The sixth-grade Eagles lost in both outings (53-47 WJ and 31-27 Bate) while the seventh- and eighth-grade teams split. The Lincoln seventh-graders won easily over visiting West Jessamine, 56-34, but came up short 59-57 in an overtime thriller at Danville Bate. The eighth-graders were edged by West Jessamine 55-54 but cruised at Bate 63-35.
The sixth-grade team is coached by Lewis Cummins, the seventh-grade team by Carl-Lewis Cummins and the eighth-grade team by Eric Ralston.
