Mullins named KHSAA Boys Archery Coach of the Year
Lincoln County High School archery coach Ricky Mullins has been recognized by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association as the 2018-19 Boys Archery Coach of the Year.
He will be presented a certificate from the National Federation of State High School Associations in recognition of this honor.
The 2018-19 season was Mullins’ 15th year as head coach of the Lincoln archery team.
The Patriot team won the Woodford National Warm-up at Versailles this season and finished as runner-up in the 2019 KHSAA State Archery Tournament at Bowling Green and the 2019 KHSAA Region 9 Tournament at Monticello.
Mullins, a teacher at Highland Elementary School, has also coached the middle school program and assisted with several of the grade school programs over the years.
“I’m very proud of this achievement for Coach Mullins,” Lincoln County High School Athletic Director Tim Estes said. “He has one of the top archery programs in Kentucky and is obviously very deserving of this award.”
