Lawson Hon led the Lincoln County Patriot golf team in the 2019 Central Kentucky Bluegrass Conference Tournament Saturday, carding the team’s low round to place him seventh out of 98 golfers.
Hon, a sophomore, led Lincoln’s five-man team with a score of 77 in the 18-hole tournament played at Moss Hill Golf Course in Versailles. The low round earned him a spot on the Central Kentucky Bluegrass Conference 1st Team and places him second in the conference in overall points for the season.
Sixteen teams were on course in the tournament and the Patriots finished 14th overall with a team total of 407. Carson Jenkins carded Lincoln’s only other sub-100 round by shooting a 96 for the day. Mason Hamm turned in a round of 113, Woods Smith shot a 121 and Tanner Ramsey finished with a 136.
The Patriots close out their season Tuesday, Oct.1, in the Region 4 Tournament. The 18-hole tourney will be played at the Danville Country Club and is being hosted by Mercer County.
