Do you like using a metal detector to seek out hidden treasures? If so, then the weekend of Sept. 14-15 has just the thing for you – the Moonshine Open Treasure Hunt.

The metal-detecting treasure hunt offers a chance to dig up thousands of old silver coins and hundreds of real Civil War bullets that have been buried in a specific area for a timed event. The event will be held rain or shine at 2423 Hamilton Valley Road, Crab Orchard.

It’s sure to be an exciting weekend of hunting. Several people from other states and locals that play this game have already paid for their chance to join in the fun.
