STANFORD — Dawson Hodge found success on the lanes as a member of the Lincoln County High School bowling team and now he is taking his game to the next level.
The 2019 LCHS graduate has signed to bowl for the Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg bowling team starting this fall.
CU-Harrodsburg head bowling coach Adam Voth was on hand to see Hodge ink his commitment to the school.
Hodge capped off his LCHS bowling career by winning the individual title in the Region 8 Bowling Championships and placing fourth in the 2019 KHSAA State Bowling. In his junior season, Hodge captured the runner-up spot at region and finished 10th at state.
This marks only the second year of bowling for CU-Harrodsburg. Campbellsville University joined the United States Collegiate Athletic Association in 2018, marking the introduction of athletic programs at the Campbellsville University Conover Education Center in Harrodsburg, as well as, the Campbellsville University Noe Education Center in Somerset.
The first teams established were bowling, men’s and women’s basketball and golf. The CU-Harrodsburg teams share the maroon and white colors and Tiger mascot of the main campus.
