Lonnie Richard Maggard, 76, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.

Born May 11, 1943 in Broughtontown, Kentucky, Lonnie was a son of the late Emmett Maggard and the late Adessie Smith Maggard. He worked in maintenance and mechanics as a factory worker for Corning Glass in Danville, Kentucky followed by Philips Lighting Co. in Danville, Kentucky for 43 years. Lonnie was a member of the Stanford Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Sharmae Seagroves Maggard of Stanford; one son, Kenneth Richard Maggard of Stanford; one sister, Sherry Stoke (Jack) of Covington; one granddaughter, Kortnee Elizabeth Maggard; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Emmett Lee Maggard; and one sister, Sue Helen Reynolds.

A one day service has been scheduled for today (Thursday, June 27, 2019). Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Shelby Roy Hopkins officiating the service. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.

Cremation rites have been honored.
