Maundy Thursday Service

The Stanford Christian Church will host a Maundy Thursday service Thursday, April 18 beginning at 7 p.m. The community is welcome to join. The church is located at 200 East Main Street (next to the courthouse).

Watoto African Children’s Choir to be in concert

The congregation of Stanford Baptist Church invites everyone to come and worship as they host the Watoto African Children’s Choir in concert on Thursday, April 25. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the SBC sanctuary. This group was here two years and they are incredible with their music and dress. An offering will be taken to help with the choir’s expenses.

Community Egg Hunt

Willow Grove Baptist Church invites all children and families to an egg hunt and lunch on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Many prizes will be awarded. The church is located at 4306 Stanford Road, Danville.

Watoto Children’s Choir at Pleasant View

The Watoto African Children’s Choir of Uganda will be singing Friday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Singing at Harris Creek

The Blakeys will be singing at Harris Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, Åpril 21 at 6 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Crab Orchard Community Sunrise Service

The Crab Orchard Community Sunrise Service will be held Easter morning at 6:45 a.m. on the back of the Cemetery Hill. Speaker will be Bro Terry Thorton of the Brodhead Youth Camp. Music and other portions of the program will be done by various local congregations. Immediately afterwards the traditional Easter breakfast will be served in the Crab Orchard Christian Church fellowship hall. In case of bad weather the Sunrise Service will be moved to the Christian Church.

Stanford Baptist hosting Easter eggstravaganza

Stanford Baptist Church is hosting an Easter eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 20, from noon to 2 p.m. All ages are welcome and encouraged to come out for a time of fellowship and fun. BRING YOUR OWN BASKET or BAG! We will have: Egg Hunts – by age up to 12 years old, Pictures with the Easter bunny will be available; along with games, prizes and more!
