The Lincoln County Middle School boys basketball teams started the new year off on a winning start, posting seven victories against two losses against Boyle County Middle School, Meece Middle School of Somerset and Bondurant Middle School of Frankfort.

Lincoln went 3-0 against Boyle Middle and went 2-1 in the other two outings. The seventh- and eighth-grade teams picked up wins over visiting Meece Middle and the sixth- and eighth-grade teams courted victory at Bondurant Middle.

Coach Steve Ralston and his sixth-grade Eagles are now 18-9 (10-2 in Salt River Conference), coach Carl-Lewis Cummins and the seventh-grade Eagles are 20-5 (10-2 in SRC) and Eric Ralston and the eighth-grade team remain undefeated at 27-0 (12-0 in SRC).
