LCHS cheerleaders hosting Radiothon Showcase fundraiser Saturday

The Lincoln County High School cheerleaders have been invited to participate in the 2019 Citrus Bowl Pre-Game Show in Orlando, Florida on New Year’s Day, but the cost of sending the cheer squad on the trip is not cheap.
To help offset the cost, the LCHS squad is hosting an eight-hour Radiothon Showcase fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Lincoln County High School. The entire event will be broadcast on WPBK-FM.
There are many activities planned for the event, including face painting and contests for cash prizes, with showcases throughout the day in the auditorium.
The schedule for the day includes:
11 a.m
Introduction of Cheerleaders. They will share some of their achievements and what this opportunity means for the squad.
12 p.m.
Car Show – $10 entry fee and a bag of candy. Come show off your ride!
Chili Cook Off – Is your Chili the Best? $10 entry fee
1 p.m.
Costume Parade and Contest (A donation will get you entered into the contest)
2 p.m.
Trunk or Treat – Bring the Kiddos!
Cornhole Tournament – $10 entry per participant
3-on-3 Basketball Tournament – $10 entry per participant
3 p.m.
Punt, Pass, Kick – $10 entry per participant
4 p.m.
Meet the Candidates – Come out and meet your candidates as they tell us more about themselves and their platforms.
5 p.m.
Dessert Auction – Bid on your favorite sweet!
Silent Auction – Lots of great items including local boutique item, local services and many more!
Live Auction – Items include Back to Basics 1-hour massage, Grand Strandz stylist Dana Pope Cut and Single Process Color Value $70, Deluxe Facial Gift Card from Beautifully You Med Spa $85 value, 2 Lift passes for 8 hours of skiing/snowboarding or snow tubing to Perfect North Slopes $100 value, 2 Tickets to Dollywood $140 value and Kentucky Castle voucher with winners option of a one night stay (Sunday – Wednesday) in a two story chalet or a Troubadour Concert Series Bluegrass 2019 Season Pass or $500 off your private event for weddings, corporate functions or any other private event at the Castle!

The cheerleaders will also be holding a second fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 3. The event is Short Stacks for a Tall Cause. It is an all-you-can eat pancake breakfast at Applebee’s in Danville from 8 to 10 a.m. Tickets are $8 each and may be purchased from any LCHS Cheerleader or by calling or texting Tonya Foster at (606) 510-1498.
