Another week, another string of wins for the Lincoln County Middle School girls basketball teams.

The Lady Eagle hoopsters notched a 3-0 sweep at Boyle County and went 2-1 at home against Mercer County, Each of Lincoln’s five wins were double-digit victories, ranging from 13 points to 25 points. The only blemish on the hardwood this week came in eighth-grade action as Mercer handed Lincoln a 49-34 defeat.

The sixth-grade team, which is led by Coach Danny Griffin, upped its record to 12-0 with its two wins, coach Chansler Gilbert and her seventh-grade Lady Eagles improved to 15-0, and the Lady Eagle eighth-graders, led by Rebecca Shearer, moved to a 12-5 record.
