LCHS Site-Based Council seeking minority parent member

Lincoln County High School is seeking a minority parent member for the 2018-19 School-Based Decision Making Council.
The minority parent candidates in this election must come from one of these ethnic groups: “American Indian; Alaskan native; African-American; Hispanic, including persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Central or South American origin; Pacific Islander; or other ethnic group underrepresented in the school.”
The minority parent member of the council is elected by all parents.
Nominations will be taken at the front desk at LCHS until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018. If you know someone else who would be a good candidate, please encourage that person to run. Forms are available on the school website or in the front office.
The election will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parents may stop by the front office to cast votes. All parents, regardless of their ethnic background, are eligible to vote in this election.
Results will be announced (and a run-off held if necessary) on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at 3:45 p.m.
