KHEAA Outreach Counselor to be at LCHS today

Joplin Rice, Outreach Counselor from the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) will be at Lincoln County High School today (Thursday) to assist seniors with planning their futures and applying for financial aid.
One of KHEAA’s major focuses is to help counselors help students. Rice’s visit to Lincoln will help provide information to students to give them a better chance at success in college or technical programs.
Rice will be giving a “Getting In” presentation to LCHS seniors today.
Today’s visit is the first of five Rice will be making to LCHS. The other scheduled visits are as follows:
Sept. 24: Parent Night for Seniors (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.)
Oct. 1: FAFSA Workshop (8 to 3 p.m., 4 to 5:30 p.m.)
Oct. 17: College and Career Fair (9 to 11 a.m.)
Nov. 15: FAFSA Follow-Up (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Rice is the South Central Kentucky Outreach Counselor for the KHEAA. He is providing guidance to schools in Casey, Clark, Estill, Garrard, Jackson, Laurel, Lee, Lincoln, Madison, Owsley, Powell, Pulaski and Rockcastle Counties.
