By Buford Edwards II

Hello and praise the Lord from the Stanford Church of the Nazarene. We are glad you have taken the time to read our article this week and hope you find some encouragement from it.

Question of the week: Are you like the useless fig tree, full of leaves but no fruit? Will you wither away and die?

To find more answers, you can visit YouTube and watch this past Sunday’s services as Brother Buford brought the message of hope through Christ as we continued our Journey Through Matthew, looking at Matthew 21 in the two part sermon titled, “Figs and Faith.”

Vacation Bible School 2018 is set for Saturday, July 28 from 1-5 p.m. During VBS we will be having an Illusion Show, FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES, and a cookout at 5 p.m. For more information or for a ride to VBS call (606) 365-1260 and leave a message.

Want to sing? Come join us on Sunday nights. The first Sunday night of every month is “Song and Testimony” night and every Sunday night is “open mic.” If the Lord has placed a song and/or testimony on your heart we would encourage you to come be with us and share.

Want to watch live but can’t make it on Sunday? Navigate to Bro. Buford’s Facebook page, (Buford Edwards II) and tune in for the Facebook Live, stream of Sunday’s services.

If you would like more information about our church and different activities that are available, visit us on the web at, and as always don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook. Also, you can always contact the church at (606) 365-1260 and leave a message. Pastor Buford or someone else will give you a call back.

Have a blessed week and come see us sometime!
