IN MEMORY. As a way of honoring the memory of young athlete Sam Singleton, the Smithsonian Museum has added a special display to its “Hometown Teams” exhibit at the Lincoln County Public Library.

With the permission of the family, a picture collage of the young runner was placed in the main lobby of the library which shows him at cross country and track meets this past year.

Singleton, 13, who died last Monday, was an avid outdoors athlete and was a member of both the Lincoln County track and cross country teams.
