Democratic Woman’s Club to meet
The Democratic Woman’s Club will meet Thursday, June 14 at 5 p.m. at the Kentucky Depot Restaurant. The meeting will focus on support for upcoming elections. Judge Janet Booth will be the speaker. All women are welcome.

Kentucky Derby Museum Day
Kentucky Derby Museum Day at the Lincoln County Public Library Thursday, June 21. At 5 p.m. there will be a hands on and interactive family program. At 6 p.m. there will be a more in-depth look at the history of the Kentucky Derby and the impact on the state. This is free and open to the public. For more information, call (606) 365-7513.

LC Farmers Market
Lincoln County Farmers Market will be open June 18 through October 31 at the Veterans Ball Park (less that 1/4 mile on Hwy 150 going toward Crab Orchard on left) The market will be open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. or sold out. Lunch-N-Learn
Honey Bee Day lunch-n-learn, noon, Friday, June 22 at Lincoln County Extension Office. Guest speaker is Dr. Tammy Horn Potter, Kentucky Apiarist. Learn about the value of honey bees to the community, how to prepare foods using honey, how you can impact the decline in honey bees, about pollination and how honey bees impact our local food supply and our health. RSVP by June 15 at (606) 365-2447. This program is free and open to the public.

FREE Lunches
FREE lunches will be available at McKinney Baptist Church for ages 18 and younger each weekday, through August 10 with the exception of July 4th. The lunches may be picked up in the parking lot at 11:30 a.m.

Blood Drive June 21
Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) is giving away a 2018 Toyota 4-Runner to one lucky blood donor this summer. Kentuckians can save a local patient’s life at the blood drive scheduled for Thursday, June 21 from 1 – 6 p.m. in the fellowship room at the Stanford Presbyterian Church, 213 East Main in Stanford.

Fresenius Kidney Care grand opening
The grand opening and ribbon cutting for Fresenius Kidney Care, Dialysis Center will be Tuesday, June 26, from 4-7 p.m. Ribbon cutting is at 4:30 p.m. The Center is located at 29 Frontier Blvd., in the old Food Lion Building. Come tour this state of the art facility, enjoy some light refreshments and network with other community and business leaders.

Tuesday Night Kids Program
Tuesday Night Kids Program at Lincoln County Library for June 19 is Connecting With Circuits. Young children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call (606) 365-7513. This is free.

Silent Auction
McKinney Masonic Lodge # 631 will hold a silent auction during Cowbell Days, June 14 – 16 in downtown Stanford. All proceeds will go to support various charitable endeavors of the Lodge, which include the Masonic Lodge Bicycle Program and the Thomas-Hood Veterans Christmas Program. These endeavors help encourage school participation by providing a bicycle to all elementary aged children who have perfect attendance and provide gifts as well as a person to share Christmas with, to our veterans who no longer have anyone to share the holidays with.

Stanford Cruise-In
The Stanford Cruise-In will be held Friday, June 15 from 5 – 8:30 p.m., on Main Street in Stanford. This is hosted by the Lincoln Masonic Lodge #60, Blue Knights of KY XI and the Fort Logan F.O.P. Music by Charlie Napier, “D.J. to the Cars”!

LCHS Class of 1978 Reunion
Lincoln County High School Class of 1978 will hold its 40th class reunion on Saturday, June 23 from 6 to 12 p.m. at Back Porch Club House, 2220 Hwy. 27 North. $25 per person. For more information contact: Sherry Moore Facebook or Curtis Young Facebook.

2018 Home Canning Series
The Lincoln County Extension Office is sponsoring a 2018 Home Canning Series. Dill pickles will be the first canning session. It will be held Thursday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at the extension office. Call (606) 365-2447 to register. Watch for other canning sessions in the months to come.

Walking for Hope Horse Show
The Walking for Hope Horse Show is Saturday, June 16 at 4 p.m. at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. Come enjoy the show and help support the Hope Fund. The Lincoln County Fair Board will have its great concessions stand food available. For more info go to kwha.com.

Home School Information Meeting
The Christian Home Education Network will be hosting a Home School Information Meeting on Thursday, July 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Public Library. Information about homeschooling requirements in Kentucky, curriculum choices, and local group activities will be shared.
