The weather was beautiful and warm at Buffalo Springs Saturday, as people gathered in the shade of the cemetery’s trees for a special Memorial Day weekend event.
In addition to the presentation of colors, a placing of a wreath and a rifle volley by the Caswell-Saufley American Legion Post No. 18 Honor Guard, those gathered also listened in silence as the names were read of all Lincoln County residents who served in the military and were killed during World War I, World War II or the Vietnam War.
