Kentucky State Police Trooper Robert Purdy paid a visit to the Stanford Early Head Start Program recently to explain to the children what he does in his job.
Purdy explained to the children that it was his job to help people keep the rules. He related law enforcement to the children’s keeping the rules in their classroom.
The children enjoyed having Purdy catch a bubble in his mouth just like they do when walking quietly in the hall. He made learning fun by also teaching them a song, reading them a book and suggesting that the children could hear the ocean when he held a toy can to their ear.
Purdy concluded his visit by taking the children outside to see and talk about his cruiser.
